Two Israeli right-wing ministers on Sunday demanded the annexation of the Israeli-occupied West Bank after Britain, Canada and Australia recognized a Palestinian state.

“Recognizing a Palestinian state by Britain, Canada, and Australia… calls for urgent countermeasures: the immediate exercise of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and the dismantling of the Palestinian Authority in full,” National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir declared in a statement, referring to the Palestinian territory by its Israeli name.
“I will bring forward a proposal for the exercise of sovereignty in the next cabinet meeting.”

The order is finished and the sole reaction to this anti-Israeli step is sovereignty over the Jewish people’s historic homeland in Judea and Samaria, and forever eliminating the Palestinians state nonsense from the agenda,” Smotrich wrote on X.
“Mr prime minister, the time is now and it is in your hands,” he added.
