The Kingdom will celebrate the milestone day with fervent national spirit, remembering the 1932 decree of its founder King Abdulaziz when he merged Nejd and Hejaz to form the state of Saudi Arabia.

National Day was initially celebrated in 1965 under the reign of King Faisal and subsequently established as a permanent public holiday by a royal decree signed by King Abdullah in 2005.

This year’s festivities will be observed under the theme “Our Pride is in Our Nature,” which highlights the country’s cultural heritage and natural landmarks.

Saudi Arabia has bolstered its position in renewable energy, technology, tourism, culture and sports as a global investment hub and a friendly environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
