ISLAMABAD: Any Indian attack on its soil will be deemed an attack on Saudi Arabia by Pakistan, and any Israeli attack on Saudi Arabia will be answered with full strength, Prime Minister’s political adviser Rana Sanaullah said, underlining the strategic importance of the new defence agreement.

Speaking on ARY News program, Rana Sanaullah elucidated, “If India attacks Pakistan, it will be taken as an attack on Saudi Arabia. In the same way, Israel understands that an attack on Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on Pakistan, and Pakistan will take tough action.”
He termed the deal “historic and rare between two powerful countries,” adding that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia both have an Islamic background, with one being a giant military power.
Lauding Pakistan’s track record in the past, he said the nation had consistently shown in the past that it could emerge victorious against stronger enemies. He said the defence agreement would be a powerful deterrent to aggression and cautioned hostile nations not to misjudge.
Rana Sanaullah also highlighted Pakistan’s own defence capabilities, saying, “Our missile system is the world’s best and wholly our own invention. With more development, even others might be forced to buy from us in the future.”
Pakistan will retaliate if Saudi Arabia is attacked by Israel, warns Rana Sanaullah
He concluded that the defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was “encouraging, historic, and crucial for the future,” and that more work on the different facets of the agreement would make both countries stronger.
