SUN VALLEY: Hungarian ice skater Eszter Szombathelyi has made her mark in the Guinness World Records after delivering a breathtaking viral 136 skips of rope in a minute, while sporting ice skates.

The record-breaking show was delivered in Sun Valley, Idaho, where Eszter Szombathelyi showcased her strength and imagination by integrating jump rope with figure skating.

Hungarian Eszter Szombathelyi, who is a quick and nimble sportsman, is both the Junior and Senior National Champion in Hungary. Her viral record shattered the former Guinness record of 45 skips, making the goal with finesse and precision.

“I hope to encourage other ice performers and skaters to dream big and to prove to them that anything can be achieved if we are bold enough to attempt it,” Eszter Szombathelyi said to Guinness World Records. “I hope to introduce new and fun acrobatic elements into figure skating performances.”

Her routine not only broke a record for the sport but also introduced a playful acrobatic twist to classic figure skating routines. The record has been formally confirmed by Guinness World Records and shared on social media.

Previously in an independent presentation, serial Guinness World Record-setter David Rush again broke the boundaries of human dexterity and speed. In a recent viral attempt, Rush and his long-time friend Jonathan “Hollywood” Hannon unofficially set the record for the quickest balloon burst between two individuals, bursting 10 balloons in a mere 7.5 seconds.

Both initially broke the previous record of 17 seconds with 15 seconds. Nevertheless, their achievement was also short-lived as Colton Shepherd and Cameron Severson improved by finishing the task in 11 seconds.

Not willing to lose the title, Rush and Hannon attempted again and also managed to reduce their time to 7.5 seconds, a new record for the quickest balloon burst.
