Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz extended the date for the Honhaar Scholarship Programme due to the catastrophic floods that have hit the province.
The Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) announced that the last date for applying has now been revised to October 26, 2025.
The Commission appealed to students to submit their applications, highlighting that the scholarship based on merit is meant to ease the financial strain on parents and facilitate continuous education despite such natural calamities.

The PHEC asserted that the program aims to secure students’ educational path and offer opportunities even in adverse situations.
It also cautioned students against losing the opportunity and applying for the scholarship before the revised deadline.

The ‘Honhaar Scholarship Help Desk’ was opened on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, which would assist the students between 9 am to 5 pm.
