ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs declared on Friday that applications for the Private Hajj Scheme 2026 have opened, providing relief and chance for thousands of intending pilgrims.

Official information states that 37,903 new pilgrims will have the opportunity to present their applications under the Private Hajj Scheme this year.
Besides, 22,097 pilgrims who could not undertake Hajj last year have also been already re-registered to be given priority this time.
The Ministry explained that private Hajj tour operators are expected to provide affidavits attesting the registration of last year’s residual pilgrims.
The operators have also been directed to accord priority to those persons before accepting new applicants.
The private Hajj operators’ quota has been retained at 60,000 pilgrims. 22,096 of last year’s pilgrims will be accommodated first, and 37,903 new applicants will also be allowed to go for Hajj, as sources reported.

Earlier, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) had formally ended the application process for Pakistan’s Government Hajj Scheme 2026.
With the ministry’s resources, a total of 118,060 applications were received from across the nation, bringing an end to this year’s submission period.
The submission of applications was closed in only 17 days, ahead of past years, because of the large number of applicants despite the fact that applications were submitted both online and in banks on a first-come, first-served basis.
Individuals applied for short and long Hajj pilgrimages, showing their respective inclinations.

The ministry now closed off additional applications for Hajj Scheme 2026. Nonetheless, until the application procedure was closed, numerous applications were still being made.
