
ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Sunday introduced new petrol and diesel prices for the upcoming fortnight, reported 24 Trend News
The price of petrol has not been altered at Rs264.61 per litre, whereas high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs2.78 per litre to Rs272.77 from Rs269.99, said a Ministry of Finance notification.
The notice also added that kerosene oil’s price has been reduced by Rs7.19 per liter to Rs178.27, while light diesel’s price has been reduced by Rs8.20 per liter to Rs162.37.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) previously on August 01 released September 2025 Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, cutting it by Rs 1.17 per kilogram (kg).
Govt announces petroleum prices 16 september 2025
As per an announcement made, the rate of LPG has been fixed at Rs 214.2 per kg after decreasing by Rs 1.17 per kg. The domestic LPG cylinder (11.8 kg) rate has gone down by Rs 14.36, with the new rate being Rs 2,527 compared to the previous rate of Rs 2,541.36.

The cut is consistent with international oil price trends and is targeted at lessening the cost burden on consumers.
