Elaine Hendrix discussed Lisa Anne Walter always remaining calm and cool.
Elaine Hendrix is a contestant on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) season 34 and she has one of her largest support systems in the house each week and that is Lisa Ann Walter.
The two of them starred together in the 1998 Disney film The Parent Trap and have remained super close friends since then.
In an honest interview with PEOPLE magazine during DWTS week 2 in Los Angeles, Elaine referred to Lisa as her “life security blanket.”
“[Show partner] Alan [Bersten] is my show security blanket, and Lisa is my life security blanket,” said the 54-year-old.
“And I look at her and I feel calm instantly,” she said of the 62-year-old comedian.
“She just gets it,” Elaine said of the Abbott Elementary actress, continuing, “We know what to say to one another because we know each other so well. So when I begin to get on edge, she knows how to ground me and calm me down. And so, having her here is everything to me.”

Alan, Elaine’s dance partner, was questioned by PEOPLE whether the group had a name and a special handshake and he answered, “We’re stuck with that amazing handshake, and we’re proud of it,” in relation to the secret handshake in The Parent Trap, that twins Annie and Hallie (both Lindsay Lohan) execute.
The Dynasty actress and the dance instructor also integrated some of the hit handshake into their routine at DWTS’ 34 season premiere.
“Our team name is Team Partner Trap,” Alan replied.
In regards to Lisa Ann Walter, Elaine Hendrix affirms that her former co-star intends on “being here every week” to show her support throughout her DWTS stay.
