NEW YORK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US President Donald Trump exchanged greetings at Arab-Islamic summit in New York on Wednesday.
According to details, the two leaders had an informal meeting with warm exchange of greetings.
A handshake and an open talk characterized the meeting. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the Arab-Islamic Summit led by U.S. President Donald Trump and the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Before meeting the president, the prime minister also met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
The encounters were characterized by warm handshakes, friendly and open talks, and significant interactions between the world leaders.

Shehbaz Sharif previously had a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah in New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly session.
The Prime Minister remembered the long-standing, historic brotherly relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
He extended his regards and best wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Reminding that both nations have always supported one another in thick and thin, the Prime Minister appreciated the Crown Prince for Kuwait’s solidarity messages after recent floods in Pakistan.
Emitting a sense of happiness regarding the positive direction of bilateral ties between the two nations, the Prime Minister shared Pakistan’s strong interest in consolidating the existing relations further, especially trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, export of manpower and health.
