In a follow-up clearance operation, security forces fought off the attackers and neutralized five terrorists who were involved in the attack, ISPR further added.

The statement reiterated that such acts of terror would not deter the determination of the security forces and the country to root out the threat of terrorism from Balochistan and the region as a whole.
Previously, the security forces of Pakistan had martyred 31 Khwarijs of Indian Proxy, Fitna al Khwarij in two separate encounters on September 13 and 14 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
As reported by ISPR, a security operation based on intelligence was undertaken by the security forces in Lakki Marwat District against the reported khwarij presence. While the operation was carried out, own troops successfully engaged the khwarij position, and following a heavy exchange of fire, 14 Indian-sponsored khwarij were killed.
Another intelligence-based operation was carried out in Bannu District and in subsequent fire exchange 17 more Khwarij were eliminated by the security forces, the media wing of the military stated.

“Sanitization operations are being carried out to eradicate any other Indian sponsored kharji present in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are committed to eradicating the threat of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the nation,” the ISPR concluded.
