ISLAMABAD: Citizens can now buy electric scooters on easy monthly payments with zero percent markup under the Prime Minister’s Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) initiative, making green mobility more affordable than ever.

Popular Yadea electric scooter models M3H, T5L, and VELAX are now available under the scheme, with the government giving a ₨50,000 subsidy on each.

Purchasers are able to pay in 24 simple instalments over two years with no interest cost. Every scooter has a 4-year or 50,000 km warranty to ensure long-term performance and peace of mind.

The PAVE scheme aims to encourage environmentally friendly transport, local industry support, and reduction of urban pollution.

Applicants can sign up online at https://pave.gov.pk/register by filling in their personal information, CNIC, and address details.

The government expects this program to speed up the use of electric scooters and transform Pakistan into a cleaner, greener future.

Prior to this, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari handed out free pink electric scooters to female workers in Karachi.

According to details, a ceremony was held by the Sindh government to hand over free pink electric scooters to working women.

The event was graced by CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Memon and other officials.

Speaking at the event, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated, the PPP government is putting extra efforts to ease the facilities for women particularly working women.

He added Sindh is the first province which has introduced electric buses in Pakistan.

1) The allocation of EV scooties will be done via an open balloting process in front of print and electronic media.

2) A committee will be formed with members from Excise, Transport, Finance departments, and media representatives to maintain transparency of the balloting.
